\r\nWelcome to Mr. Simpson’s Year 3 page. You will be able to find homework, interesting events and Year 3 news here, along with a gallery of the current Year 3 class, the classroom and some of the exciting things we’ve already done this year! \r\n\r\nYear 3 is always an exciting and engaging year where the children adapt to life in Key Stage Two along with learning all about topics such as the Ancient Egypt, the Stone Age, weather around the world, Forces and Magnets and research about our local area alongside their regular maths and English.\r\n\r\nIt is also a year in which the children become more independent and start taking more control over their own learning. They will learn to develop their own questioning for topics and assess their own work. Children will also continue to be given a variety of sporting opportunities and now benefit from having a specialised music session every week. The year will be topped off with the always popular Year 3 / 4 summer production where the Year 3 children will support the lead cast members from Year 4.\r\n
